Countryside Sunflower Field and Trail Sunderland

About Us...

Welcome to the Pinedale Patch a division of Teledale Farms. We are a 4 generation Dairy farm that prides ourselves in growing producing and promoting local agriculture. In 1958 the Smith family moved to Sunderland from Gormley and the Teledale legacy began. For years farming was not only a lifestyle for the Smith’s but a passion. In 2011 third generation farmer Graham married a farm girl from Woodville. 2013 and 2016 two little farmers were born and fourth generation of Teledale started. Holly grew up growing sweet corn and pumpkins and wanted to do the same with their children.

The littlest farmers of Teledale began growing pumpkins and started a small market stand at the end of the farm driveway. In 2020 the Smith’s thought about further expanding the market and grew a small field of sunflowers for the community to enjoy. This idea has now expanded into a larger field of sunflowers and pumpkins and in 2021 the Pinedale Patch was created. We look forward to sharing our passion for the land with visitors as we continue to grow and promote local agriculture in Durham Region.
